Department: Human Resources
Work Hours: Primarily Monday through Friday standard business hours.
Basic Function:
This role oversees employee health and welfare plans, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, and Heritage Valley 403(b) and 401(k) plans. It involves managing daily benefits matters, resolving issues as needed, and serving as a liaison between employees and benefit providers. The role also supports employees in understanding their benefit options. Administers Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave of Absence processes, including ADA interactive procedures. Responsibilities include processing and tracking insurance payments for employees on unpaid leave, maintaining COBRA files, and coordinating with the COBRA TPA provider. Additionally, the role assists with special projects and benefit programs as needed
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelors degree in human resources, business or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of benefit administration experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate the ability to handle priorities in workload and have an overall knowledge of department functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. Human Resources/Leave Administration experience
